These courses covers the main functionality of the ArcGIS Pro software. The courses assume no prior knowledge of GIS and are therefore ideal for newcomers to desktop mapping.
One or Two Day ArcGIS Pro Training Courses
Day One
Course objectives:
* Become familiar with the ArcGIS Pro ribbon based user interface
* Understand how to open files and view data through:
Map Views
Attribute Views
Layout Views
* Become familiar with the ArcGIS Pro Layer Control facility
* Learn how to navigate maps using the various options for
zooming and panning
* Become familiar with the various drawing tools and how to change symbols,
lines, polygons and text
* Understand how to label a map and use the label settings to modify
the appearance of labels
* Utilise the measuring facility to analyse distances between objects
* Understand how to use selection tools to analyse maps and data
as well as perform SQL queries
* Understand how to create thematic maps from data attributes
* Be able to create a layout window and print a map
Day Two
Course objectives:
* Understand how to create SQL queries and save the query results
* Be able to create and save buffers to a new file
* Understand how to create thematic maps using graduated and chart symbols
* Understand how to import spreadsheet data and connect to databases
* Be able use the statistical analysis function
* Understand how to create a new table structure
* How to use the automatic and interactive Geocoding functions
* How to use the snap environment
* Understand how edit attribute data
* Understand how to edit geographic objects
